People of all ages and gender waste; there is no specific type of people who litter, almost everyone has already littered in the past. When a piece of garbage is thrown away, other people think that it is okay to throw away the garbage too. Waste affects everyone and people must learn to preserve wildlife. No one truly realizes the effect that waste can have not only on everyone's lives, but also on wildlife itself. According to Keep America Beautiful, authors of “LITTER PREVENTION: WHY, WHO, WHERE,” “People of all ages and social backgrounds have been observed littering: men and women, children, and all ages in between are more likely to throw rubbish". At some point everyone has made a mess, whether intentionally or not. Keep America Beautiful also claims that “When an illegal dumping occurs, days and sometimes weeks or months pass before it is cleaned up. Meanwhile, people, animals and wildlife are attracted naturally, garbage bags are opened and garbage is distributed on the ground." Animals are curious creatures and if they smell food, they will naturally want to go and investigate it. Since the garbage is now exposed outdoors, it can be blown by the wind and travel to different places. There are simple ways to help prevent waste; Cathy, author of the article “12 Ways to Prevent Litter,” states that “Set an example by not littering.” If you show yourself well
