Nature of the Studyo Problem to be examinedWith the changing values ​​and economic and social status in India, we here try to find the current motivation and hygiene factors prevalent in the Indian IT sector.o Significance and need of the studyAs we all know that the IT sector constitutes much of the Indian economic developments that we all have seen in recent times. So, let's try to find out the factors that determine motivation based on Herzberg's theory, so that we can better understand the thinking of this large pool of resources. The need for this study arises from the fact that even though the IT sector is termed as one of the best places to work, but we still see high attrition compared to other leading sectors. So let's try to find out what is the motivational psychology of IT industry people in India.o Basic information available Herzberg Motivation – Hygiene Theory is the basic setup available for the current study of this project. We will use Herzberg theory as a standard tool to track the motivation and hygiene factors in the current Indian IT sector.o Scope of the study: Scope and limitations Every theory is based on some assumptions and Herzberg theory is no exception, so we need make some basic assumptions to reach final conclusions. Since the conclusion will be based on the data collected from the random sample, the study only shows the general opinion and not the individual response of the affected industry.o Who will it be useful for? It will be used by IT industry HR functions and IT industry managers who interact with industry HR. This study will provide them with a brief analysis of what are the key factors for employee motivation in the prevailing situations.3. Any hypotheses to testThe study is based on Herzberg's theory, so we test the hypothesis of the same theory in this study based on the current circumstances and psychology of the employee.4. Data Sources and Collection Procedure The data sources will be based on a survey including IT professionals from various leading IT companies in India.
