1. IntroductionThe topic to be covered in this work concerns the novel written by Enrique Serna; The seducer of the country. First we will talk about Santa Anna in Mexico, since this novel is a historical novel based on the life of Antonio López de Santa Anna. Next we will focus a little on Enrique Serna, on how his ideology or style influenced the creation of this historical novel and likewise there will be a small synopsis of the book. Finally, my perspective before and after reading and whether or not my perspective on that period or that president's government has changed in any way after reading the book.2. Development2.1 What impact did Santa Anna have on Mexico? In 1831 Antonio López Santa Anna joined other people to rebel against the government, two years later he won the presidential elections, however I think he had many conservative ideas The greatest impact that Santa Anna had in Mexico was that in 1835 he started a rebellion in Texas when the Texans proclaimed their independence. Later in 1836 the Battle of San Jacinto took place. Santa Anna, then president of Mexico, took the Alamo but was defeated and captured by the Texan army. There were many Texans who wanted to lynch Santa Anna but the American soldier, Samuel Houston, had the idea that since Santa Anna was the president of Mexico it was better to take away some useful concessions from him; the state of Texas. When he was released he returned to his home state of Veracruz. No Mexican supported him anymore because of what happened. Some time later, in 1838, the War of the Cakes broke out in which the French demanded their debt be paid off and took Veracruz. Sant......middle of paper......not in which we currently live as a country, which is why I believe that it is not the fault of a single president, whether of the current six-year period, the past or the ancestor, I think that the problem comes from further back and above all that society greatly influences any situation that arises. I enjoyed this job because it gave me the opportunity to learn new things and data about an era that I believe passed had a great impact on our country and I was also able to learn about it in a way that entertained me and appealed to my Attention.
