What is Cubism? Cubism was an artistic movement born in the 20th century. He completely transformed the way of painting and sculpting in Europe. It was not only this, but also other movements encouraged in music and literature. It was an artistic movement that sought to contest a four-hundred-year tradition of pictorial art. History of CubismCubism was not only revolutionizing, but was one of the most influential art styles of the 20th century. There is controversy over the creator of the style as most believe that Paul Cezzane had a concept of artistic style similar to Picaso. His works included three main elements: geometric, views from multiple angles, and passage. In artistic terms we can call it the fourth dimension. However, Picaso's fragmented and distorted style with neutral and blue colors in the Palais du Trocadero (now a Paris museum) marked the beginning of a revolutionary art movement. The very first official Cubist exhibition, at Salle 41 in Paris in 1911, included works by Robert Delaunay, Albert Gleizes, Fernand Léger, Henri The Fauconnier and Jean Metzinger. (Picasso, Braque, and Juan Gris, as well as more prominent Cubist artists, were noticeably absent from the event as their own art dealer would not allow them to exhibit from Salle 41. The artistic style of "Cubism" grew rapidly from its birth in 1907. The initial use of monochromatic tones and single media gave rise to multimedia textures, vibrant colors, and mixtures of word and image topics, often collections associated with images and sentences that give an overall sense rather than a direct representation.
