This involves damage to the heart and blood vessels, damage to the eyes, and damage to the feet and skin (Mayo, 2014). Diabetes leads to heart disease because high blood sugar levels over a long period of time are very harmful to the body's cells and nerves (Mayo, 2014). Another complication of diabetes is neuropathy, which is a tingling, numbness, and burning sensation in the fingers and toes. This damage occurs because excess sugar in the blood vessel walls can damage the vessels and cause them to rupture (Mayo, 2014). My stress-related time goal is to continue using the new breathing techniques and journaling techniques I've learned and apply them to my everyday life. By January, when our next semester starts, I should be in control of my stress and know how to reduce it or avoid my anxiety. I think it is important to continue to visit my Psychologist once a month until she feels that our meetings are no longer necessary. Turning to someone else about my anxiety seems to have really helped me control it
