Stricter gun control groups, such as Handgun Control Inc. (HCI), argue that guns kill people. They think that it is the gun that makes people feel that they are right and have the power to take someone's life and control a situation (Kriegel 818). You can't actually blame the gun. Guns are not animated objects that can choose their victims. Guns require people to pull the trigger. For this reason, I believe that the emphasis in gun control should be on teaching gun safety and preventing criminals from getting their hands on firearms.
