Concussions are dangerous and it is a topic that is finally getting the attention it deserves. The NFL ultimately paid for what it did; however, an endless supply of money cannot reverse mental disorders and illnesses or bring anyone back to life. It simply pays for the suffering of the players and their families. The NFL is constantly researching and developing new technologies and rules to prevent further problems and make the game as safe as possible. Well, as safe as it gets for men running full speed and battling it out for 60 minutes. The question that arises is: How can anyone trust the NFL's idea of providing a safer environment for players when they have spent so much time hiding their bad behavior? NFL players only play for a certain amount of time, and their lifespan is much longer than the time spent playing the sport. The effects of concussions, CTE, and repeated head trauma can last a lifetime. Players know the risk when signing up; However, the lives and health of players should not be the scapegoat for the flaws and mistakes of a multi-billion dollar corporation.
