I would probably thank him and completely agree with him. For this man said his relatives never owned slaves and you couldn't blame them. I would somewhat agree with this form for some of my experiences. It reminded me of a time with a young white man who wanted us to learn about the New Testament. “Mr. Wilson, who proposed to keep a Sabbath school for the education of such slaves as might be willing to learn to read the New Testament.” (Douglass 48).
