William Shakespeare is widely considered one of the best playwrights and poets who ever lived. “It is a widely speculated argument that William Shakespeare did not write the poems and that up to about 50 other poets could have written them.” (“Shakespeare fact: Read,” 2011) “William Shakespeare is the second most cited writer in the English-speaking world.” ("Facts about Shakespeare: Read", 2011) It is widely believed that the real Shakespeare is actually Edward De Vere. I strongly believe that Shakespeare was not the true playwright due to his lack of education, lack of upper class etiquette, and different handwriting over time. It is thought that since everyone in Shakespeare's family was ignorant, he too would not have had a proper education and would have been ignorant. If Shakespeare had not been educated he could not have written 198 works ranging from sonnets, poems and plays. With a vocabulary of over 13,000 words used collectively in all his works, if he had not been educated it would be quite impossible for him to have written all the plays, poems and sonnets.....
