Life Mission Statement I always knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life, keep my faith strong, play football and go to college on a college scholarship football, then being drafted to play in the NFL, and from there coaching football after retiring. While my path may have deviated a bit, the path is still intact but could lead to a career as a naval officer instead. The principles of my course, however, have remained constant and my life mission is to live my life to please God and my family by using the talents God has blessed me with to help transform others into better people and become a positive role model in their lives. Mission Growing up in Texas, combined with being raised in the Catholic Church, has definitely influenced my outlook on life and is reflected in my mission statement. As a child I was always taught to put God first in everything I do, to give everything I am involved in with my best effort, and to use what He has blessed me with to be the best I can be. These values have always coincided with my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL, even though the NFL is still a possibility, my future career as a military officer still matches some of my values. Such as using my talents that God has blessed me with, making my family proud, and my desire to be a positive role model for others to follow. In leadership I have learned a lot about myself through numerous discussions and surveys. For example that five of my innate talents are relational, strategy, competition, futuristic and leadership, obviously I had an idea of these talents by playing more than 12 years of football, but this course has concretized this idea and I also showed the extent to which. ... middle of paper ... the few available upperclassmen that plebs will feel they can talk to, both in my company and those new to the team. My main goal is to show them what leadership should look like as opposed to the yelling and complaining of my current training staff, which has no positive effect on company morale or anything. I will show them respect by asking for it in return too. I will also try to be there to support them whenever possible to be that positive role model that almost everyone as a Naval Academy plebeian lacks. While my career path may change my values and life mission have remained the same through it all, living my life has pleased God and my family by using the talents God has blessed me with to help others transform into better people and be a positive role model in their lives.
