“Importance of peace education in teacher trainingIntroduction-Peace is the main concern of every society, be it an ancient society, a tribal community or a company in any country in the world. The history of human development demonstrates that in order to live peacefully, man created a political system. Peace is a path to development. Today man is developing in all areas of life, his efforts are notable but internal and external peace is greatly disturbed. It will not be wrong if we say that the history of man is made up of struggles and wars. Man has faced serious consequences of wars. In ancient Indian culture, especially in the pre-Vedic period, the caste and religion system was liberal, Karma i.e. action was given importance, life was divided into four periods, therefore the system developed in order to maintain peace in society. In pursuing development man has forgotten some eternal values; he showed a selfish and self-centered attitude. In modern society we see violence, prejudice, linguistic crisis, racism, exploitation and saturation, dishonor of human rights, gender prejudice and fragile family relationships. These are the common aspects we see in our society. There is another aspect that belongs to children's development. Parents' expectations, cut-throat competition to excel, teachers' attitude towards students, lack of competent teachers and what the child observes in society, home media and various relationships directly or indirectly affects the child's inner and outer peace. .The vision of Dr. AP J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India is that in 2020 India will be a superpower, that means India will lead the world in... middle of paper... cycle we have to stop . Future teachers can be trained in this direction. Hence, peace education plays a vital role in teacher training.
