Access to Health Equity Access to healthcare is considered an important component of determinants of health. Access to healthcare is related to the mortality rate observed in developing countries. Access to health is not just about the availability of services, but also how they are delivered at the point of care. People should have access to equitable health care, which means the provision of equitable goods, services, and opportunities necessary for physical, psychological, and spiritual health (McGibbon, Etowa & McPherson, 2008). These health services can be made available through the establishment of more public clinics and hospitals. Several studies conducted in developing countries indicate that the introduction of medical user fees leads to a reduction in utilization which tends to affect the poor (CSDH, 2008). Affordable healthcare services will be seen as a way to encourage people to use existing healthcare services
