A Day in the Forest It was a calm, cloudy day and I found myself resting next to a large oak tree, admiring the beauty of the woods that surrounded me. the sky covered the woods above the treetops creating a canopy over my head. The crimson and copper foliage was a magnificent sight, for this was the season known as Autumn. There was a light breeze, creating the unique sound of rustling leaves. The leaves seemed to be dying to fall from the tree and join their companions on the forest floor. Along with pine needles and other flora, the leaves formed a thick trampoline that I could walk on.
