Mental Processes Paper Introduction Mental models are the ways in which individuals process information in their minds. According to Mental Models and Reasoning (n.d.), Charles Sanders Pierce in 1896, stated: “Reasoning is a process in which human beings examine the state of affairs stated in the premises. He forms a diagram of the state of things, perceives relations in the parts of the diagram not explicitly mentioned in the premises, ascertains with mental experiments on the diagram that these relations would always exist, or at least they would exist in a certain proportion of cases and concludes the necessary or probable truth ”. In 1943, Kenneth Craik, a psychologist, suggested that individuals “construct small-scale models” of predicting events in reality, to reason and inspire clarification. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary (2014) mindset is defined as “a mental attitude or inclination” otherwise “a fixed state of mind.” (“Mindset,” 2014). Identify the four steps to changing mental models/ mindset and discuss how you could use them to make changes within the company. Part of our daily thinking is mental models/mindsets; however, we do not perceive them, despite them being dominant, determining what an individual sees and does. if one leaves one's mental models/mentality unchallenged, the mental models/mentality would become obsolete, while the world continues to change. This would force the perception of similar opportunities, which achieve the same results , other possibilities open up, pushing you to think outside the box of what has been in your mind. According to Rowe (2004) “The four steps to change mental models/mindsets are: • R...... half of the paper. .....sible - individuals are responsible for making changes in their lives.2.
