Unlike many, many, many of you out there who completely hated this movie, I was appeased. Right now, I know all of you (who have seen the movie) probably think I'm crazy, but before you judge me, read my review and explanations. For those who haven't seen the movie yet and don't plan on doing so: DO NOT READ THIS! Now, I think one of the main reasons I didn't find this movie that awful is because I came in with extremely low expectations based on the trailer, so the few funny and likable parts of the movie were a huge success for me. But yes, I agree with many of those out there, it's still shameful compared to the series and even the last movie. I don't even understand why they bothered making a sequel, to me it's like beating a dead horse and tarnishing the success of Sex and the City. This movie was corny, there, I said it, now on with the review. What I liked: I liked seeing the girls, and it was especially nice to see Miranda much more cheerful and positive than I had ever seen her, but without this taking anything away from his personality. I also enjoyed the few funny moments, like their camel ride and where Charlotte had camel toe. And also, although really silly and with more boyish humor, the braless nanny. And most of the fashion was ridiculous, but I always thought that even in the series and in the last movie, the fashion was always ridiculous, even living in New York, I don't know why anyone would wear 90% of the things they are in dress. The final outrageously bad fashion item in this film is Samantha's spiky, glittery shoulder armor during their karaoke moment. I'm serious, what the hell is that??! It seems much more dangerous than anything else. And for a long time, Carrie's wardrobe... middle of paper... and Smith and Aiden were the worst, I just didn't get the main point. Smith only showed up to provide a reason for the girl to fly to Abu Dhabi, and Aiden only to appease what I think are the prior desires of some SATC fans, but it just didn't fit very well, other than to now ruin the image of Aiden as a possible idiot who would cheat on his wife and mother of his 3 children. Oh, and let's not forget Stanford and Anthony, I thought it was a little boring that they ended up getting married, it's so cliche (not to mention Liza Minnelli's appearance singing "Put a Ring on it"). you have it, and it seems that my opinion is actually not that different from that of almost everyone else. I think the only difference is that I got over the fact that SATC 2 was going to be a bomb right from the trailer and was able to enjoy those few morsels of entertainment.
