Just because foods are grown locally doesn't mean they magically have super nutritional qualities and delicious tastes. Furthermore, it is proven that there is no nutritional difference between conventionally grown and organic foods. Organic does not mean quality, as it can resemble and have the same superb taste as non-organic foods. Hundreds of studies and researchers have found that there is no substantial difference between organic and non-organic food, so it is a waste of money. In addition to that, some argue that organic food is grown at higher levels than conventionally grown food. Because although organic food is a growing market, it is not healthier than non-organic food for numerous reasons; there is no evidence of higher nutritional content, it tastes the same and is more expensive, so it's not worth spending more. Overall, organic food and farming does not have the exceptional benefits and results that it is believed to have, and empirical data proves this claim. Furthermore, contrary to what actors and other famous people have preached, organic food is not more nutritious than non-organic. Alan D. Dangour, Elizabeth Allen, Karen Lock are professors, and Ridardo Uauay is a professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and this group of scientists found no significant differences in nutrition between organic and conventionally grown food. They stated: “What is clear from our analysis… is that there is currently no evidence of major differences in nutritional content between production regimes and from a public health perspective” (Uauay1). The problem with most people writing articles on this controversial topic is that they are in... half paper... aware that some products, like organic milk, actually emit more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than they do . non-organic milk. Considering the data and facts provided we come to the final conclusion that non-organic is the more justified choice between the two. Concluding from hundreds of studies conducted there are no substantial benefits in terms of nutritional value in organic foods. Organic food really has no benefits that support the hype and most of the “facts” about it are just preconceived and painfully biased opinions. Because although organic food is a growing market, it is not healthier than non-organic food for numerous reasons; there is no evidence of higher nutritional content, it tastes the same and is more expensive, so it's not worth spending more. Overall, buying non-organic foods is apparently the best choice thanks to logical and valid evidence.
