Their marketing strategy is a source of inspiration for several small businesses looking to dominate their area. 1) Description of the business and target market Annie's Home Grown Organic is a small business that sells organic foods. Most products are pre-cooked, frozen, canned or pre-packaged. The company began business in 1989 as a seller of macaroni and cheese, then expanded its product base to include more diverse organic products. Its initial owners were Annie Withey and Andrew Martin; however, these individuals sold their shares to Homegrown Natural Foods. Annie has become just an inspirational chairwoman and brand ambassador for the organization.
