Since declaring my interest in health sciences, it has been my intention to pursue and complete my bachelor's degree in nursing. However, since UAS didn't offer my degree of choice, they placed me in what they said was the closest program they had. At this time, I am unsure if I will complete my AAS with UAS or move on to complete the necessary steps to pursue my BSN. I wish to improve myself not only with the knowledge of seeking a rewarding career, but also to become a more conscious and active participant in society. I plan to maintain my work ethic long after graduation and remain true to my Alaska community by working strictly in-state. I consistently exceed my expectations of myself and I plan to encourage those same qualities as I move forward. From here, any financial support I may receive will not only be an investment in me, but an investment in Alaska
