Topic > Incorporating public speaking into regional and urban activities…

Introduction:Communicating correctly through public speaking is an essential part of the work of a regional and urban planner. In all urban planning, public speaking plays an important role in communicating not only with clients and other planners, but also with the broader community in various congregations. However, there are various tactics that must be implemented to be able to not only successfully convey the correct information, but to provide it in a clear and concise manner that people of all education levels can understand. The aspects of speech that need to be better analyzed and implemented in presentations are; adequate preparation, having a clear purpose or objective, all these aspects contribute to a successful and complete presentation. This report will explain, as well as positively and critically analyze, three aspects of the presentation that are directly related to the problems currently faced by urban and regional planners. The report will analyze how aspects can be improved and implemented into current information delivery methods. Challenges: Adequate preparation: Preparing for an oral presentation can be a daunting task for people with all kinds of experience in all kinds of fields. (McConnell 2005: 77). Therefore the preparation time needed to create a presentation is vital not only for the speaker, but also for the audience. Aspects of a successful presentation include; eye contact with the audience, projection of the voice and use of concrete language. These are some aspects of a successful presentation and incorporating them will not only enhance and create an effective pitch but will also benefit a city and regional planner. Proper organization includes; do sur... half of the paper... you need to be adequately prepared, have a certain number of objectives and a dynamic style to present these objectives. This means that city and regional planning speakers must incorporate these aspects into their presentation style to successfully communicate with their audiences, regardless of size or level of knowledge.
