Throughout this course, I am amazed by how much I am learning about what it was and what it means to be disabled in today's society. But just like any other crisis, it's crazy what people with disabilities have gone through in the past and how far they've come. Form the perception of disability as a responsibility towards the public and reject people with disabilities in schools, workplaces and communities, to accept them openly and with laws that help protect this form of discrimination. Staying on the topic of disability, I would like to look at both the positive and negative impact on not only an individual living with a disability, but also what the family faces. Many people have opinions about disabled people but they don't have them from first-hand experience. As human beings, it is part of our nature to be judged mental. Sometimes we judge without even knowing them or putting ourselves in their situation, but experiencing disability firsthand, I will say it has its ups and downs.
