People's opinions on what the perfect society should be have changed due to some cultures in history. This “perfect society,” also called utopia, can be found in many different religions, mythologies, cultures, and more. These make us think differently about what we would call perfect. For example, everyone working together, every man for himself, isolation from the rest of the world and so on. Some generalizations have been made about utopias. “Man strives to create his own personal and social utopia.” “Man has sought or attempted to create a utopian society since the beginning of time.” “Man corrupts his utopia after finding or creating it.” “Dreams, memories, nature, emotions and time help shape man's ideas about utopia.” “Individuality may be lost in man's search for utopia.” These apply to most, if not all, utopian situations in fictional societies and history.
