After dinner, many people might just empty their plate into the trash and think they're doing themselves justice, when in reality they're not. I know a lot of people wonder why garbage smells. What's in your garbage can that makes the house stink. Well, if an individual actually takes a step back and looks at what constitutes garbage, they will see that garbage is mostly made up of rotten food. Rotten food, rots and smells bad, and is the main ingredient for a very useful contribution to saving the ozone layer. This lifesaver is called compost. Compost is mostly decaying material that is used as a good fertilizer. Compost is made up of; Rotten fruits and vegetables, leaves, dirt, worms and anything else the earth naturally produces. Compost can help plants grow and give vegetation what it needs to thrive. If more plants thrive, the more carbon dioxide will be removed from the atmosphere. Furthermore this will also start to refresh the mother earth, through the trees that will grow. This will produce more oxygen and reduce respiratory problems caused by global warming. So instead of throwing away orange peels, put them in the compost
