Benefits “NO body is perfect, but EVERY body is beautiful” has a ripple effect of benefits. The services provided by the program must also provide beneficial value to the priority population. The program provides the education necessary for the priority population to be effective in their interpersonal community. The program will give adolescents a boost in self-esteem and positive self-image and help them achieve optimal physical, emotional and psychological health. Adolescent girls and boys will appreciate the importance of a positive self-image and inner attributes through practicing healthy living and social skills to build self-confidence. The workshops on inner beauty will educate the population to distinguish and reject false social definitions of beauty and will help in the development of their own identity. The workshops and “Miss Inner Beauty” will teach various skills to enable young women to find and capitalize on their inner qualities to succeed in every aspect of life. The implementation of healthy food services addressing school meal nutritional standards will benefit the school system by providing a variety of healthy food choices congruent with current dietary guidelines for Americans. Students will also be provided skills and training on healthy nutritional choices and knowledge on how to prepare healthy meals according to the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Young people will be provided access to mental health services and self-help support groups within the community to help with previous disordered eating habits. Students' parents will be sent a newsletter about the program and all the services provided, as well as an update on the students' results during the program.
