Parkinson's disease is known as one of the most common progressive and chronic neurodegenerative disorders. It belongs to a group of conditions known as movement disorders. Parkinson's disease is a component of hypokinetic disorder because it causes a decrease in body movements. It affects people who are usually over 50 years old. It can compromise individual motor and non-motor function. Some of the primary symptoms of Parkinson's disease are characterized by tremors or tremors in the hands, legs, and arms. In the first symptoms the tremor can be unilateral, appearing on one side of the body, but the progression of the disease can cause it to spread to both sides; stiffness or resistance to movement affects most people with Parkinson's disease, it causes the muscles to tense and contract so that the person feels stiff. Bradykinesia is slowness of movement; the person has difficulty doing routine tasks such as dressing, eating, and walking, making easy tasks quite difficult. Difficulty walking and balance is another common symptom of Parkinson's disease; it causes an individual to fall very easily. Some of the non-motor symptoms include disturbances in cognition, emotion (mood and motivation), sensitivity and perception, olfactory system, behavioral inhibition, sleep disturbances, autonomic function, decreased gastric stability, and fatigue (Cronin-Golomb, 2013). As these symptoms become progressive, patients may have difficulty walking, talking, or completing other daily activities. In most cases the symptoms start on one side of the body but as the disease progresses; it can affect both sides of the body. There are many causes of Parkinson's disease, but the main and main cause is the death or breakdown of cells in... middle of paper... n-motor function. Parkinson's disease contains symptoms such as tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia and difficulty maintaining balance and few other non-motor symptoms such as cognitive and autonomic symptoms, etc. The main cause of Parkinson's disease is the reduction of dopamine in a part of the basal ganglia called Subtantia Nigra; There are various other reasons that researchers have found to be the cause of Parkinson's disease. There are no extensive blood or laboratory tests that can be used to diagnose Parkinson's disease, but several physical and neurological tests can be used to diagnose Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's disease is a complex disease, so there is no cure yet, but several treatments with medications and therapies can help reduce/improve the symptoms produced by Parkinson's disease. Researchers are working really hard and hope to find the cure for Parkinson's disease in the future.
