“Bangla Rock Band- Aurthohin” Bangladesh is a newly born country (1971). Therefore, Bengali rock music is a fairly new concept. However, the history of Bengali rock music can be traced back to the 1960s, when a few self-taught musicians claimed to cover rock music from around the world, especially Western rock music. From there Bengali rock music has come very far and has produced many great rock bands and musicians over the years. However, for some reason, Bengali rock failed to reach the world stage of rock music, probably due to the language. My favorite band is “Aurthohin”, a Bengali heavy metal rock band. Aurthohin is a fairly new band founded in 1998 by their bassist, singer and songwriter Sumon AKA BassBaba. Aurthohin are known for their heavy metal music along with few melodic songs and their poetic lyrics. In recent years the band has shown the influence of punk and alternative rock in their music. “Aurthohin” means meaningless/meaningless. The idea of ​​the band Aurthohin came from one of Sumon's solo projects “Sumon O Aurthohin”. This album was released while he was a guest member of another Bangladeshi heavy metal band, Warfaze. The band's name comes from the title track of the album "Aurthohin" containing a collection of twenty-seven solos by eight of the most famous guitarists of that era, and vocals were provided by former Warfaze singer, Sunjoy.Over the years Aurthohin has released six albums. Their first album "Trimatrik" was released in 2000 with the initial lineup of the band. There were a couple of hit songs, most notably "Odbhut Shei Chheleti" which became popular and widely appreciated by rock music fans. That album started a new trend of "sequels" which can be found in subsequent albums, including the ballad "Odb...... middle of paper ......06, Kamal from Warfaze joined the band as guest guitarist. After doing a few concerts, Sumon offered him a permanent position, and he accepted it. However, due to illness, Kamal could not participate in the last album, and later left the band vocals and drums, and Shishir on guitar and keyboards After a long break, Aurthohin returned to live concerts in early 2013. They recently released a new single "AamJonota" which talks about the current political situation in Bangladesh in. As the band matures, their lyrics also become mature.
