Oscar Niemeyer attracted the attention of many generations of architects; it became known as a key factor in modern architecture. It pushed the boundaries, making a completely new concept modern. Oscar Niemeyer was not born with the name by which he is known, he shortened his name. Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida Niemeyer Soares Filho was born. He was born on December 15, 1907 and lived almost 105 years, but died ten days before his birthday on December 5, 2012.2 Niemeyer was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro and grew up there. He dropped out of school at the age of twenty-one and married Annita Baldo with whom he had a son. He then pursued his passion for architecture at the National School of Fine Arts where he graduated in architecture at the age of twenty-seven. After graduation he worked for his father in his printing house. He then worked for the architectural firm of Lucio Casta, Gregori Warchavchik and Carlos Leao even though they did not pay him for his work. He worked there as a draftsman, later becoming known for his skill at this. It was Lucio Casta who brought Niemeyer to the professional market. To get a better idea of ​​how Niemeyer thought about architectural ideas, I will share a passage from his memoirs: “1I am not attracted by corners or by the straight, hard and inflexible line, created by man. I am attracted by the fluid and sensual curves that I find in the mountains of my country, in the sinuosity of the rivers, in the ocean waves and on the body of the woman I love.
