Oscar Niemeyer attracted the attention of many generations of architects; it became known as a key factor in modern architecture. It pushed the boundaries, making a completely new concept modern. Oscar Niemeyer was not born with the name by which he is known, he shortened his name. Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida Niemeyer Soares Filho was born. He was born on December 15, 1907 and lived almost 105 years, but died ten days before his birthday on December 5, 2012.2 Niemeyer was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro and grew up there. He dropped out of school at the age of twenty-one and married Annita Baldo with whom he had a son.
