It's a little scary and intimidating having to decide what I want to accomplish and succeed in my life. I'm quite aware that college is the next step in my life journey, but choosing "the one" is trickier than I thought. Since my top three realistic schools are Georgetown University, Syracuse University, and St. Mary's University. My essay is in chronological order as in what is a little more of a dream and very far-fetched compared to what my realistic school would probably be. I was in awe of Georgetown's prestigious campus life when I visited in the summer of 2014. The welcoming aroma was simply overwhelming in a good way. First I was attracted to the location. Location is an important key for me because I felt like I recently came across this university when I was trying to see which university would accept my "ok" scores. I started thinking, so my mom and I took a virtual tour of the campus and it was nice and modern unlike Georgetown. I really like the old looks, but this university is up to date with their technology which I definitely need. I had a Skype conversation with an academic advisor there and she was the head of my major or the department I was interested in. He explained how the courses rotate with the specific interest I'm interested in, such as non-profit organizations and sociology. It's also possible for me to take a social work course, which is great. Additionally, they have summer internships in Madrid, Florence, France, Chile and other countries. I think that the downfall, in addition to the financial one, should be time. I love the sun and I like winter clothing, but I'm not sure I would be able to handle the heavy snow and winter they get every year. Also, being New York, cultural diversity is abundant and that's really important to me. I'm hoping to take a college visit if they accept to see if this is the school for me. Also, I prefer a small school, but even though it is a fairly large school, the student-teacher ratio is 16:1, which is not for specific courses, not for general courses. They only accept AP credit with a score of four or five, so each campus offers academic and also social opportunities. All will allow me to choose my courses based on what interests me. I think one of these universities will be my home just like ESSM was for me. Whatever I choose, I know God put me there for a reason. They will help me achieve my goal of helping people nationwide and
