I cannot disagree more with statements like "these are just numbers, they don't mean anything". I believe that most, if not all, things around us can be quantified. Confounding factors may obscure them, but there are underlying patterns waiting to be revealed and can help make this world a better place. This passion to uncover hidden insights in data using the latest technological advancements and contribute in my own way to the betterment of society, motivated me to pursue a career in a field that represents the culmination of both science and technology – data science. Furthermore, today the industry is driven by strategy; I want to be a decision maker, who uses the power of data to guide companies to make better decisions based on more than just intuition.
