The Challenges of Online Journalism in ChinaAngelo Agostini, illustrator, journalist and founder of numerous publications, once said: “The Internet is creating great changes in the field of journalism. Hoping to attract a young audience that is rapidly abandoning the printed word, the world's leading newspapers are building an online presence and making imaginative efforts to transform the entire business of providing news and information." Nowadays, the growing popularity of the Internet has not only brought a revolution in every area of life, but also poses a series of challenges, especially in our daily practice of journalism. Compared to the past, the development of new communication networks is profoundly transforming the collection, production and distribution of information. As can be seen from Figure X, online journalism has unique competitive advantages over print journalism. However, as a new media model, in the process of developing online journalism in China, the following three challenges cannot be ignored. First, ethics is the main and main issue of online journalism. Currently, in China, online journalism has a surprisingly widespread phenomenon of lack of legal norms and necessary regulatory guidelines. Since the network has the characteristic of being virtual and anonymous, users do not need to register accounts with their real identity. Therefore, a large number of users can easily impersonate other identities or pretend to be celebrities to publish false news and information, violate people's privacy, or defame and violate others' right to reputation. This phenomenon becomes more and more serious in China's online media platform. The false and false n...... medium of paper ......journalism after decades of development, compared with traditional journalism, is still a young medium. The rapid development of the network is both an opportunity and a challenge, and also promotes a rapid transition of human society into the information society. The development of online journalism plays a vital role in the harmonious development of the media industry. Due to the emerging area and peculiarities of online journalism, the lack of valuable research data and information has limited further development in China. The emergence and development of online journalism has not only placed higher demands on journalists, but also poses new questions to the public. The road to extensively use and fully understand online media is still long, but the future of online journalism in China will have a comprehensive and brilliant development..
