Beowulf, coming from an Anglo-Saxon period, is considered a hero for his strength as a warrior, which allows him to offer protection to the Danish people, his courage and his loyalty. While Katniss, who comes from a dystopian society, is seen as a hero because she goes against the upper ranks (like President Snow and the game's guardians) and fights against a long-standing system (the Hunger Games), she is seen as a supporter of change thanks to her courage and altruism.
