“Even thinking back to those one-sentence descriptions of television ideas in the first paragraph of this essay, I am humbled by how inadequately they convey the vividness they had as I had conjured them up” (4). Some ideas are not worth pursuing. This is exactly what Lindgren came to understand they society as a whole would collapse and progress would cease. More important is to understand that everyone will fail sooner or later. Lindgren explains this in his memoir of John Lasseter's interview with Charlie Rose. It is said that "Mistakes are an inevitable part of the creative process , so get to work and start making them" (4). Keep in mind that even the founder of Pixar, one of the most successful animation companies today, has had his share of bumps in the road. Look beyond self-doubt and insecurity, learning to move on and take away the experience, good or bad, will ultimately have an overwhelming effect on one's life. If a person is unable to look beyond their mistakes they will never be able to move forward to improve their idea or, even worse, give up on their goals.
