In today's society there are many people who need help every day. Our generation is capable of helping coaches, family members, members, the homeless and neighbors. However, our generation is not the only one that needs to help people, other generations, new and old, can still be involved in helping people. In the last two months I have had the opportunity to care for the elderly in an elderly care home. Working with seniors in a senior living environment gave me the skills to work with seniors. It gave me the skills to talk to them, assist them and gave me the opportunity to see a different perspective on seniors. Using my skills (harmony, speaker, activator, deliberative, and coherence), I was able to assist the elderly to the best of my ability. As summer approaches, I am now forced to go out and help the elderly. I believe my grandmother is the most important person in my life who needs help every day.
