The only thing that gets lost in the translation from the Japanese to the English dub, is the Japanese mythology and values ​​that simply don't translate directly into English. This is just something that can't really be understood until you watch the original Japanese version with literal subtitles or understanding the language. For example, the whole movie shows a bunch of creatures, spirits and demons, so people who are not familiar with the mythology will simply not understand it and will pass it off as another creature (Reider).
