Motivation according to Eva (2005) is a psychosomatic characteristic that pushes an individual to carry out activities and obligations towards a desired goal. As a result, several researchers have conducted studies on motivation and its implications on people in different fields (Eva, 2005). Scholars have developed numerous theories regarding this topic. For example, propositions such as Maslow's Law of Hierarchical Needs have allowed teachers to focus on ways to improve performance in their subject areas (Rod, 2012). Relative Emphasis on Motivation As far as education is concerned, motivation is considerably important. As noted, one of the primary reasons behind the recognition and support of this characteristic is due to the significant consequences it imposes on individual performance.
