This was the path I should have taken, I felt I needed to come out and prove to everyone who doubted me that going to college was wrong and not just some tech school a couple minutes down the road or at a school in my town. Most of my classmates always joked that I didn't go to college and that I was the kid who peaked in high school. Not wanting to be known as that kid, at the beginning of my senior year I began making the necessary moves to take the next step towards college. Finding motivation in myself, I began to excel in my school work and put the pieces together. After taking the standardized test required for college and filling out the applications, I started receiving feedback from colleges. This was a great motivation for me. A couple of months before this happened I never thought I could get to college and actually start doing things. Everyone who said I couldn't do it was wrong. The feeling of proving everyone wrong and also the feeling that my family members supported me made me feel good about myself
