Religions of the world The religions of the world must be studied subjectively, that is, with the attitude of pluralism, from the perspective that they are all the same. Numerous methods are used to study religions. The most common is the comparative historical method in which the history and traditions of a certain faith are deliberated. This method focuses on orthodoxy, which means "correct thinking." Another method is the phenomenological method. This method, unlike the historical comparative method, is centered on orthopraxy, or "correct practice." Other less common methods involve subjective ways of studying such as the confessional study method, which interprets a religion based on a particular point of view, and the empathic approach, which is based on putting yourself in the shoes of the participant of a particular religion. All world religions can be labeled exclusive or non-exclusive based on how false a certain religion considers other religions. Very often exclusive religions are monotheistic and Western, while non-exclusive religions are polytheistic and Eastern. Religions are also ethnic or universalizing. Ethnic religions can be simple (based on location or kinship groups), compound (linked to nationality, ethnicity, or state), or complex (ethnicity and religion are inseparable). Universalizing religions are classified by the degree of openness of the religion to acceptance of outsiders. The study between geography and religion serves to determine the effects the two have on each other. The physical environment has a history of religious events dating back to Biblical times. For example, mountains have been associated with dialogue with God. Mount Sanai was the place where God spoke to Moses and... at the center of the card......does not grow only through the natural expansion of migration, or conquest and exile, but also through contact conversion. This happens when two separate groups are in close contact with each other and their traits and ideas begin to merge. Another means is through missionary work or coexistence between religions. The world has hundreds of thousands of religions that cannot all be explained in one sitting. Many of these religions have great similarities and many are different from others. However, almost all religions have evolved from one of the very few that have existed the longest and have been altered and renamed throughout history. The importance of religion on geography is important and often overlooked as other geographic factors often are. Religions will continue to change and develop over time and with them geography will continue to be changed.
