The information in this study was provided in complete confidentiality by interviewing 463 students via mail. Surveys were sent by providing the recipient with a stamped receipt, a letter from the school and the researcher explaining the process for ensuring the reliability of the system (Jordan et al. 2007). Of the surveys delivered, only 125 responses were returned. Given the nature of the survey, students who witnessed misbehavior on a regular basis were more likely to return surveys (Jordan et al. 2007).
