That role allowed me to gain a lot of experience regarding healthcare policies and regulations in action. My experience working in the hospital also showed me that not everyone has health insurance and that I was fortunate and privileged to be insured through my mother, which allowed me to afford the care I needed during my youth. This is why I believe all individuals should have access to high-quality, affordable healthcare services.
