People might think that we eliminated racism after Martin Luther King's movement, but that's not the case. Sure, it helped break down barriers and improve relationships, but it didn't eradicate it completely. Human nature doesn't change in a couple of years. Instead, it takes numerous years for an ideal, such as racial equality, to take root in the hearts of all humanity. Some people may simply not have seen it up close or had it done to them and not realize it. Even though evidence of racism and discrimination is all around us, we do little to stop or change it.
