It is not just in small towns or the United States that this problem occurs. Many places around the world are experiencing the same health problems. A BMJ investigation was conducted in Britain, where it was discovered that “low-cost drugs… [are] being blocked by pharmaceutical companies” (Donnelly 2015). Instead of having a more efficient way to get everyone the care they need, capitalist companies just sell expensive products to have more money in their pockets. This creates inequality within our system because people who can afford it are the only ones who receive treatment while those who can't are left struggling. The structure of our society is controlled by capitalism and greed for money. There are things that citizens and individuals can do, such as protesting and joining different types of movements to make their voices heard. The only problem with movements is that because our society is deeply rooted in capitalism, changing society for the better is not
