Since self-improvement has always been pursued, plastic surgery is an inevitable development of society that should not be frowned upon as it has evolved into a luxury that benefits the economy, despite the popular opinion that our culture has become negatively obsessed with outward appearances. The history of plastic surgery exemplifies the idea that humans will always seek self-improvement; plastic surgery has just become one of the ways we might be able to achieve this.
