Fortunately, after finishing that terrible season, our coach left and went to another school. The following year of wrestling we had a new coach and our middle school team grew tremendously, and now the middle school team is a very successful program. We went through a couple of different coaches throughout high school, but freshman year we finally found one that would stick, Coach East. This was the year I would make history not only for myself, but for Chelsea High School and the wrestling program. All I thought about day in and day out was wrestling and training every day, even after high school practice going to the club.
