Our country relies heavily on road transportation to ship many of our goods, food and other vital resources. Therefore, if future trucking fuel forecasts could be improved, our nation would save billions in foreign oil expenditures and other costs. Since LNG is available here in the United States, Americans could potentially reduce their dependence on foreign oil by switching to LNG, thus becoming more independent in energy production. LNG is also a bit cheaper than diesel overall and is the only fuel source (so far) competitive with diesel in the amount of energy it can provide per tank of gas. LNG takes up only about 60% of the volume that a diesel tank would and is more energy-rich than its close relative, CNG (compressed natural gas).2 Therefore, an LNG tank can provide enough fuel for a large truck run about 400 miles before having to
