Trained Aspiring Actors Succeed in the Acting Industry Thesis: Aspiring actors and actresses should receive professional training before trying to enter the theater industry because it increases the amount of success that one can have in the industry, strengthens an individual's talent and helps a person understand the nature of the business. Aspiring actors and actresses are often judged on the amount of training they have received. Having a professional background can usually determine whether or not someone can receive a positive or negative rating. Most actors and actresses who receive negative feedback are usually people with no professional training. Individuals who have theater training usually get more positive feedback. When someone receives constructive criticism, it can usually demonstrate whether or not they are ready for the industry. Professional training can increase a person's success in the industry because most directors look for trained actors rather than raw talent. Being an experienced actor makes the director understand that the actor or actress will not need much guidance and direction because he or she will probably already know what to do in a professional situation. On page 643 of "Werner's Magazine: A Magazine of Expression, Volume 28" Daniel Frohman, an early director and producer, states: "The school-educated actor is so much more fortified with stage technique that his progress should be more quick." than that of an inexperienced beginner. This statement is proof that training can help an actor be more successful in the future because this is a comment directly from a producer's point of view. an aspiring actor has been taught how to operate on a stage or set by an acting coach or teacher who gives them their all...... middle of paper...... actress can achieve their objectives through training. Professional training for the most part is an addition to the value of an actor, the only downside is the competition and statistics on how actors are not successful. Getting success, strengthening talent and learning the business seem to be the main things that can help advance an actor trying to achieve a goal in his career choice. Success can only be defined by the actor or actress. Not everyone may think that fame and fortune are what make them successful. Some actors may be content doing low-budget films and local theater productions. Hearing different perspectives from “successful actors,” directors, teachers, and employment offices doesn't matter if the actor is impressed with what he or she is doing. And training can help an actor's chances, but it's not guaranteed.
