As much as nutrition undergoes a broad change, as noted by Jared, the same is clear in other spheres of life as well. Religion, on the other side of the equation, shows a significant transformation of today's global community. Whiston's (1987) article illustrates how religion was carried on in the old days. Compared to Jared's historical analysis, there is a clear comparison that in both times life was simple. In the simplicity of judgment all religious practices were to be followed according to the word of the ruler. The rebel who chose to follow his own choices died under the judgment of the rulers and persecutors. As if that wasn't enough, the story further explains why sacrifices are made to the gods on altars with fire. At this point, it seems that the changes were meant for the better as people lived off slavery. Most of them followed orders and did not understand freedom of worship. However, there seems to be freedom when the current society is full of pagan and social cults
