Reveals exactly how this film is just one of many created as a response to black protests over inequality, and why it actually just mocks their culture and race instead of helping it. They show some stereotypical traits in the black character, such as violence, but other than that they give the traits assigned to the white character as it is more “humorous” and mocks the complaints of black society. The white cop is the confident character who leads while the black character follows him and struggles with his romantic relationship. Throughout the film, racism is treated as a joke and is made fun of and justified by giving the black cop a few moments to shine and look like a good citizen, while the white cop just sits there.
