Even so, cyberbullying wasn't much of a threat to me or the students I spoke with. Discussions were often held as part of the English curriculum on important cases – such as cyberbullying – that had made the national news. These discussions were a great way for students to see how bullying and other harmful actions are harmful to another person. The most effective method in discouraging such behavior was the school's “open door policy,” which required all adults to comply. Most students had at least one trusted adult with whom they felt comfortable disclosing their concerns, and most school officials made an effort to speak with each student individually.
