With comprehensive diction such as "violent and aggressive" and "feelings of exclusivity" it appeals to our deepest emotions to convey the importance of humanism and the things it we are able to feel. However, with feelings as options instead of something everyone enjoys, society would overlook the importance of feeling these emotions due to the invincibility we would have over the feeling of heartbreak or pain. While we would all like to avoid difficult times, enduring them is not only what makes us human, but also what makes us grow. We may not realize that feelings make up today's society, which is why the author turns to these emotions to show how transhumanist views can make us feel better as individuals but, overall, the social aspects of the world will.
