In the mind of a person there are two forms of fear; psychological and instinctive. Psychology is caused by excessive thoughts and discomfort. Instinctive is caused by one's natural instincts or behavior towards something unexperienced. From uncomfortable feelings, to scary thoughts, fear can lead to madness. Fear presents itself in many ways in society, depending on a person's weakness. According to research, fear can simply be summed up in three words; intimidation, terror and anxiety. Intimidation comes from insecurities; the attention you get regarding your environment and surroundings. When people are intimidated, they feel threatened by the unknown or are afraid. An example is the 2013 film, Carrie. This film is about a shy teenager who is socially rejected by her peers. Even her mother, overprotected and religious, abuses her.
