The way society has represented the future is correct: stress at work without job security, virtual slavery in micro-businesses exploiting economic roles, temporary jobs through uncertain agencies, low wages for employees of services, self-entrepreneurship and self-management as a pressure tool to control and direct the masses (Lloyd, 2008). The New Economy has just collapsed and it is already clear that flexibility, customization and offshoring were not promises but rather threats, and for most people they meant nothing more than bad working conditions and poverty. However, workers in the service market and poverty are not the only ones affected by the drastic decline in social standards. Low wages and unstable jobs largely prevail in some categories: cleaning services, catering, domestic work or elderly care. And the fact that these sectors often employ migrants in the most unacceptable conditions, without any legal guarantee and even without a contract, is not at all accidental. The crisis process that weakens the foundations of capitalist development is accompanied by a constant worsening of exclusion and social disintegration. The miserable world of modern services is instead a minor way of making a living, which lives only because the number of profitable workers (in terms of value) massively decreases, and which, therefore, far from leading to a new model of capitalist accumulation, Their functions include providing bait to those who see their living standards plummeting towards poverty. Younger workers are heavily affected by low wages. Among young people under thirty, the percentage of low wages is double that of the 30-49 age groups. They represent 45% of low wages for less than 30% of all employees. If the w...... middle of paper....... Organizations need to attract employees in a changing job market. The labor market becomes more diverse in terms of gender and ethnicity (Vosko, 2009). Therefore, equal opportunity pressure in hiring practices and promotion decisions will persist for some time into the future. Other trends increase the challenge for organizations. The contingent workforce includes part-time workers, self-employed subcontractors, and independent professionals hired by companies to address unexpected and temporary challenges.
